2009 Festival Events
Last year, with the support of the NSW Government through Events NSW, the Festival hosted more than 400 events across Sydney and regional New South Wales, and engaged more than 300,000 local, interstate, and international visitors.

Growers' Market and Barbecue Madness
The Sydney Morning Herald Growers' Market is held on the first Saturday of every month at Pyrmont Bay Park on Pirrama Road, from 7 am to 11 am. The market operates rain, hail or shine but is closed in January.
In 2009, Fergus Henderson, owner of St John restaurant in London turned out to cook his nose to tail barbecue. His book Nose to Tail Eating: A Kind of British Cooking helped revive the appreciation of offal.
